How to Point DNS from GoDaddy to IONOS and Transfer Your Website

Quick Step-by-Step Guide
- Request DNS pointing
🔹 Submit a request in IONOS to point your domain from GoDaddy. - Get new name servers
🔹 IONOS will email the new name servers. Copy them and replace the old ones in GoDaddy.
⚠️ Always back up everything before making changes. - Wait for propagation
🔹 Typically takes about 10 minutes. Check IONOS until the status shows complete. - Update MX records (optional)
🔹 After the new name servers are active, update MX records for email if needed.
⚠️ Backup email accounts first. - Add SSL certificate
🔹 In the IONOS Control Panel, add SSL to your new domain. - Transfer your website
🔹 Move all website files to the new domain. - Update WordPress URLs
🔹 Log in to WordPress → Settings > General → update Site Address (URL) and WordPress Address (URL) tohttps
